As most of our clients are new immigrants, we follow policy modifications and changes in the Canadian school system to better serve our community. The goal of new immigrant school system navigation support is to help recently arrived immigrant families understand and navigate Canada’s educational system.
This support often consists of a variety of programs targeted at assisting families in obtaining and maximizing educational opportunities for their children.
These components are critical to ensuring that immigrant families receive the required guidance and assistance to properly navigate the educational system and promote their children’s academic performance and well-being, providing orientation, enrollment assistance, advocacy, cultural orientation, and referrals to support resources empowers immigrant families and promotes successful integration into their new community.
This holistic approach addresses the different obstacles and limitations that immigrant families might encounter, resulting in better educational outcomes for immigrant children.
