Youth Now on Track Services was delighted to host the Canadian Mental Health Commission for a presentation on suicide prevention and awareness. In fact, the Canadian youth suicide rate is the third highest among industrialized countries.

Not only did the presentation provide youth with resources to utilize when having suicidal thoughts, but it also addressed the emotions and consequences of suicide.

The workshop provided insight into the emotions, behaviours, and stages that can contribute to suicide, as well as what parents should look for in adolescents.

Many began discussions with our facilitators in order to fully comprehend what was said. Participants engaged in the material and suggested to have them return for another workshop.
