Youth Now on Track Services was thrilled to have Megan, a police officer, join us for a workshop on cyberbullying and safety, where she shared what youth should watch out for to stay as secure as possible.

Constable Megan discussed how the cyber world can affect your mental health, highlighting the importance of paying attention to the dangers that the cyber world poses as it evolves. Cyberbullying is prevalent among youth, and both parents and children should be aware of how to prevent it and of its entirety.

The community expressed a lack of Internet knowledge, so the workshop served as a knowledge centre for those who wished to increase their understanding of posting awareness, human rights in an online context, digital footprint, its ripple effect, and bullying prevention.

The workshop was a success, and we hope Megan will return shortly to provide additional safety and mental health tips for youth.
